Alvarez & Marsal’s Transaction Advisory Group is now in its eleventh year and continues to disrupt the established European market. Despite the challenges presented by Covid, engagement count increased by >20% over the judging period, and the team added 12 new PE clients to its base. The judges were impressed by Alvarez & Marsal's continued development over the period, and depth of engagement evidenced in the firm's case studies. Notable deals Alvarez & Marsal’s Transaction Advisory Group worked on during the judging period included: TowerBrook’s acquisition of Cartrawler; EQT’s acquisition of RIMES Technologies; TA’s Associates simultaneous acquisitions of ATG and Proxibid; and supporting Francisco Partners’ portfolio company MetaSwitch on its sale to Microsoft.
